ABOUT L'ÉCHAPPÉE VOLÉE 2017
EXPONENTIAL
HAPPINESS?

Are you happy?

Is it reasonable to ask this question in in turbulent times such as these? A quick look at news channels would make people feel guilty about raising their hand. Global warming, economic crisis, geopolitical tensions, rise of extremism…
How did we get there? Blinded by the promises of a limitless model? Dazzled by a digital world so well adapted to everyone that it disconnects us from reality? Uprooted from the deep meaning of our existence? Lost in a divided world where inequalities are increasingly visible?

Can we still believe in happiness for all? What are the alternatives?

The emergence of a global society has bonded humankind in an irreversibly. Hence, we all have a share of responsibility in others’ happiness. This analysis of our society echoes in each actor that compose it: civil society, institutions, associations, companies… It is the link between and within all these different actors that will make an individual and collective, a present and a future happiness emerge.

The promise of a technological singularity, carried by an exponential transformation of the world, is coupled with social, political, environmental and economical brutal disruptions. For this reason, it is important to act immediately and collectively to spread exponential happiness to all.
